Interview with Hamid
Feel the WE in IT - The TIMETOACT GROUP attaches great importance to the WE! What does the WE mean to you? How do you experience our WE in your day-to-day work?
For me, the WE means working together as a team, supporting each other and pursuing common goals. It's about being able to rely on each other and communicating openly. A strong WE creates trust, promotes cohesion and motivates everyone to give their best. In my day-to-day work, I experience the WE not only in successes, but also in dealing with failures. The true value of a team is particularly evident in difficult moments: when we look for solutions together, support each other and learn from our mistakes. Such situations strengthen mutual trust and make the team even more resilient. The feeling of not being alone, even in difficult phases, shows me how valuable a real WE is.
What motivates you to come to work every day?
What motivates me to go to work every day? Clearly the coffee, the exciting challenges and of course my colleagues, who always spice up my day - whether it's with their good ideas or their funny remarks. But seriously, it's the feeling of being part of a team that creates something meaningful together and doesn't forget to have fun. And, of course, it's fun to develop yourself and have a good time with your colleagues at the same time. With a WE feeling like that, even Monday mornings are fun ... most of the time!
If you could give your former self one tip regarding professional development, what would it be?
My tip to my former self would be: Don't fear failure, fear the opportunities you miss. There's a first time for everything - and it's often those first steps that get you ahead, even if they're not perfect. Be brave, try new things and trust that every experience, whether a success or a failure, will help you develop. In the end, you don't usually regret the failure, but the opportunities that you didn't take because you were afraid.
What tip would you give to future colleagues?
Be open and curious! Ask questions if something is unclear to you and don't be afraid to contribute your own ideas - they are appreciated here. Remember: no one expects you to be able to do everything straight away, but commitment and team spirit count for a lot. And very important: don't be afraid of mistakes, but see them as an opportunity to grow. Together in WE we always find a solution, and with a good dose of humor and cooperation, work is twice as much fun!
Which projects or tasks have particularly challenged you and helped you progress? Is there an example you can share?
In one of our projects for a major client, I started out as a developer and gradually took on responsibility for a subproject.
During this time, I learned a lot – both technically and professionally, but most importantly on a personal level.
The experience of taking responsibility, finding creative solutions, and collaborating with the team has been empowering and has had a lasting impact on me.
